Sales - A business broker is primarily a salesperson. You sell business owners on choosing you, and your company, to sell their business. You sell that business to buyers. Much of your day is spent selling people by using sales calls, telephone calls, or written communication. If you are not good at sales, or don't like it, this is not the career for you.

Experience - Previous sales experience is very helpful, particularly experience in B to B sales or sales to business owners. Previous ownership of a business is useful experience also.
